Rabbi Dovid Morris- 6th Grade Boys/Student Council Advisor
Rabbi Dovid Morris is entering his 13th year at Emek. He graduated from Brandeis University cum laude with departmental honors and a joint degree in Philosophy and Near Eastern Judaic Studies. He also studied six years in yeshivot in Israel, where he received smicha. In addition to being our history and Torah studies teacher, Rabbi Morris is also our senior trip/student council advisor.

Rabbi Naftali Alt- 6th Grade Boys- Accelerated
Rabbi Naftali Alt was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Rabbinic and Talmudic Studies from Rabbi Jacob Joseph School in 2000. After his marriage, he studied in Jerusalem and then in Scranton, PA. He then moved to Los Angeles where he resides with his wife and 5 children. He has taught at Emek for the past 9 years and is an experienced Baal Korei.

Rabbi Avraham Zachter- 6th Grade Boys
Rabbi Avraham Zachter received his Semicha (Rabbinic ordination) from Mesivta Tiferet Yerushlayim in New York, Rav Moshe Feinstein's Yeshiva. After graduating from Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting & Computers, he continued his education at California State University Northridge and graduated with honors with an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Administration. Rabbi Zachter's previous occupations include Kashrus coordinator for the RCC, youth west coast regional director for the OU, National Conference of Synagogue Youth, Rebbe and Director of Student Activities at Yula & Shalhevet High Schools. In addition to this, he has volunteered for Hatzolah and is a certified instructor for the American Red Cross.
